A roof fire tore through a house in Leigh yesterday afternoon.
The property in Station Road was attended to by firefighters from Leigh and Southend at 2.43pm.
Crews used one hose reel to extinguish the fire by 3.12pm.
A thermal image camera was then used to check for any remaining hotspots.
