Two off-duty police officers came to the aid of a couple who were trapped in their car after a crash on the A120.
Pc Samantha Claxton, was driving to take a friend to Broomfield Hospital when she came across a serious accident on the A120.
A lorry had gone into the back of a car just before the Galleys Corner Roundabout in Braintree, causing significant damage and leading to major traffic tailbacks.
Concerned that there were casualties, Pc Claxton pulled over and ran across the carriageway...
