The condition of a 17-year-old boy struck by a car in Chelmsford while on his red mini moto motorbike has improved, police have said.
The teenager pulled out of Anchor Street onto New London Road at about 1.45pm yesterday before he was hit by a black Skoda Superb.
He was airlifted to Queens Hospital, Romford, and police initially suspected his head injuries were life-threatening.
His injuries are no longer life-threatening but he is still receiving treatment to his head.
