Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Southend and left with a broken neck.The attack happened at the junction of The Grove and North Avenue at around 9pm on Friday, December 16.The victim, a 58-year-old man, was walking home when he was assaulted by up to three men.He was found by members of the public, who called the emergency services.
