Firefighters were called to a stack of straw bales on fire
in Hanningfield Road, Great Baddow at 4.10pm. On arrival, crews from Great Baddow and
Chelmsford reported that the stack measuring 10m x 10m was 100 percent
alight.Crews used a hose reel jet and covering jet to extinguish
the fire by 7.12pm.The cause of the fire has been recorded as deliberate.More to follow.
