A house in Cold Norton was struck by lightning causing a fire in the roof this morning, as storms hit Essex.Two fire crews from Maldon and one from South Woodham Ferrers were called to the property on Station Crescent just before 9.30am.Uearing breathing apparatus and three hose reel jets, the crews had extinguished the fire by 10.10am.
