A car 'crashed into some trees' after running off the A12 near Hatfield Peverel tonight. Three fire engines were called to the southbound side of the dual carriageway at 4.39pm and made the vehicle safe after it had reportedly crashed into woodland. A man was left in the care of the ambulance service. Fire crews from Great Baddow, Witham and Chelmsford left the scene at 5.16pm.
