A nine-year-old boy remains in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a car in Boreham last night.Detectives believe the youngster, who is from the Chelmsford area, was crossing the road after getting off a bus with his family when he was hit in Plantation Road.He is being treated at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, where he was flown by air ambulance, for head and leg injuries.
