THESE dramatic pictures show teams of firefighters from Brightlingsea and Coggeshall battling a cottage fire tonight. Eight fire engines plus three specialist vehicles and the Incident Command Unit from Basildon were called to School Road in Langham, near Dedham, at 7.02pm on Friday (April 24). The fire set 25 per cent of the thatch alight. The team of over 40 firefighters set about creating a fire break in the thatch and then fought the fire from height from the aerial ladder platform....
