Investigations are underway after a 'hand grenade' at Southend Hospital sparked an evacuation.The item, which was found by a member of staff just before 3.45pm today, was on the first floor of the tower block. A part of the building was evacuated as was nearby Prittlewell Chase and a cordon was put in place. Things are now returning to normal, however.
