Essex Police are appealing for witnesses following two assaults in the vicinity of Promenade Park in Maldon on the same night.
The assaults, took place on June 10, and occurred between 5pm and 7pm.
The first incident occurred around 5pm in the evening after a group of youths left the park via the High Street exit and turned into Park Drive.
As a result of the incident a young man has been left with significant injuries to his mouth area requiring specialist treatment.
