THIS shocking video was taken moments after a head-on collision between an Astra containing a family of four and Corvette travelling northbound on Essex Regiment Way caught fire.

The only occupant, a 67-year-old man from Chelmsford was trapped in the vehicle and died at the scene.
Fellow motorists helped the family out of their vehicle but could had to retreat from the intensity of the fire.
