A man's body found floating in the river off Bridgemarsh Island has been confirmed as that of missing man Anthony Mayer. The body of the 35-year-old, who had been reported missing on March 8, was recovered by police in the River Crouch last Tuesday (May 7) and at an inquest this morning his identity was confirmed. Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray formally opened an inquest into his death at New Bridge House, Chelmsford this morning.
