Firefighters were forced to evacuate Lakeside shopping centre on Tuesday evening after a smoke canister was set off in one of the retail outlets. Emergency crews arrived at the Thurrock site at approximately 9pm yesterday (Tuesday) after the smoke device was released in a shop filling the premises with smoke.
