A Benfleet pensioner left a note apologising to his brother before killing himself by overdosing on pills, an inquest heard.
Hackney-born Terrence Ellis, 66, was found at his Benfleet home by his brother Brian on May 22, lying on an armchair with empty painkilling pill packets around him, it was revealed at Essex Coroner's Court on Monday (July 24).
A note was found next to Mr Ellis which said: "Sorry Brian."
