Two Essex Police officers have been commended for their bravery after rescuing a man from a flat fire in Basildon.Pc Paul Radley and Pc Rebecca Sheppard were carrying out routine inquiries in Vange on Friday morning (January 27) when a man shouted for help from a nearby building.The pair saw smoke pouring from one of the flats and called the Force Control Room to request for firefighters to attend.Officers Radley and Sheppard had to smash a window to gain access to the building, where they found...
