Braintree taxi driver helped put out a fire at his local mosque after two men were caught on CCTV setting it alight in a suspected hate crime.
The vandals threw a flaming rubbish bag on to the roof of Al Falah Braintree Islamic Centre on Silks Way at around 2.48am on Sunday (January 8), leaving a large hole.
They also kicked the door and set fire to a smaller bag, which caused a blaze on the building's floor after they hurled it at the window, along with a brick which did not break it.
